With more than 40 years` experience in custom-made valve solutions we developed a wide product range of solenoid valves and pressure controlled valves covering nearly all industries, mainly high pressure industries, high temperature industries, water technology and many more.
However, our main focus applies to custom-made valve solutions.
Together with our customers we develop system solutions and engineer them.
The GSR engineers can selec the suitable valve from our extensive add-on system. Furthermore, we have over 1000 valve options like sealed plunger, position indicator, control units, hand levers, etc..
Additionally, we are specialized in the development and production of valves for high pressure applications. In this special field we can look back on big know-how and experience. Our products are made of high-class materials and do have the latest block solutions for CNG and hydrogen.
All our solenoid valves, whether they are designed as pilot operated, force pilot operated or direct acting valves, are available with explosion proof according to ATEX.
Also for the North-American market our coils have the FM-approval and the UL-approval.

Components for process safety
Solenoid valves are used in a wide range of areas.
In general solenoid valves can be used to control and regulate the flow of gaseous and liquid media. They are actuated only electrically. Due to the construction solenoid valves have a safety position when voltage failure.
Solenoid valves are found, inter alia, in the in-house water supply or in the heating system, in gas pumps at gas stations, or, for example, in air-conditioning unit in supermarkets.However, their most frequent use in industry, such as in factory automation, in power plants, in shipbuilding, in blast furnaces construction, on oil rigs, etc.
For almost any application, it is possible to design and use a matching solenoid valve.
Solenoid valves are divided into different control types: pilot operated, force pilot operated and direct acting solenoid valves. The main difference of the control types from each other lies in the different pressure ranges and in the volumetric flow rate. 

Solenoid Valves, pilot operated
Valves like this always need a pressure difference to the operating pressure to be able to open and close.
The minimum required pressure for this is stated as the minimum pressure in the technical data sheet. In this case, the actuator only has a pilot function, through which the main sealing element, diaphragm or piston, is relieved.
The medium pressure and/or the existing pressure difference lifts the main seal up. With this control type it is possible for little magnets to control high pressures with large nominal sizes.
Attention ...
We indicate a minimum pressure for our valves. The pressure differential is necessary, in order to lift the sealing element reliable or to close. Decreases the pressure differential under the indicated minimum pressure, we cannot guarantee a proper function.

Solenoid Valves, force pilot operated
Valves of this type switch on at 0 bar and can be used where direct acting valves are used. However, they are supplied with smaller coils for higher pressures and larger nominal sizes if used above this application range.
The actuator opens a pilot borehole and then lifts the sealing element from its seat directly or supported by Δp of the operating pressure.
The special feature of this control system is that the actuator in the pressure range can open and close the valve without using the operating pressure.
In case of pressure differences, usually when opening the valve, the collected energy is used.
Attention ...
Special: No differential pressure is necessary in order to work.
Force pilot operated valves open and close independently of pressure and seal only in the direction of the arrow. The preferable mounting is with upright actuator. Please contact us before installing in a different position or into a riser.
In order to avoid water hammer effects an adjustable close muting is supplied as standard for sizes from G5/4 and DN32. 
Solenoid Valves, direct acting
Valves of this type switch the sealing element directly via the magnetic system. In this case the seal usually needs to be lifted against the effective operating pressure from the seat simply by the actuator.
Supported by the pressure of the medium, a closing spring keeps the valve closed.
The function depends on the size of the seat, the effective operating pressure and magnetic power.
Attention ...
PTFE is a hard plastic and can lead to slight leaks in low pressure ranges which is why we can only certify the leak rate DIN3230 T3 here.
